NOURISHMENT FOR THE MIND
Today's message from Neale Donald Walsh - reminder to take some time to feed your mind. Maybe watch some holiday movies to evoke the Christmas spirit, read a spiritual book or a magazine that stimulates your creativity.....
On this day of your life,
I believe God wants you to know...
...that the degree to which people have evolved
is instantly revealed through what
they call entertainment and 'fun'.
What do you call 'entertainment'?
What do you describe as being 'fun'? How do you
spend your free time? How do you spend your
entertainment dollars? How much television do you watch?
How many movies do you see? What kind
of programs and films do you spend time on?
How many books have you read this month?
How many concerts have you caught? How many ballets
have you seen? What kind of music do you listen to?
Does any of this matter? You might just as well ask
if it matters what kind of food you eat.
Nourishment for the mind is no different from
nourishment for the body. What you put in is
what you get back -- in triplicate.

LIVING THE DREAM
From Neale Donald Walsh - What God Wants You to Know Today
...that vocations which we wanted to pursue, but didn't,
bleed, like colors, on the whole of our existence.
Honore De Balzac said that, and he was right.
Do not let one more day go by without honoring
the vocation your soul calls you to pursue.
And don't pretend you don't know what it is. Of course you do.
You can feel it in your stomach whenever you think about it;
whenever you see another person doing it.
Life is so very short. Do now what you yearn to do
in your life. You do not have to "quit your day job"
in order to do this. You may do so if you choose to,
but you do not have to. Many people advance
a vocation while holding down their "regular job."
You can, too. Then ease into your vocation
and turn it into your "regular job."
But you must give energy to your vocation
starting today. I mean, today.
On this day of your life,
Cheri, I believe God wants you to know...
...that vocations which we wanted to pursue, but didn't,
bleed, like colors, on the whole of our existence.
Honore De Balzac said that, and he was right.
Do not let one more day go by without honoring

TORTUGA MUSIC FESTIVAL 2015
5 months til the Tortuga Music Festival on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida! Just finished booking our rooms for the weekend, Yes - 5 months out, The hotels are booking fast so I didn't want to take any chances. I found a great group of boutique hotels in North Beach Village - clean and neat and reasonably priced. The big chain hotels are charging $300-400 a night.
Last year we stayed at the Beach Gardens Hotel and wanted to book there again. But they have a wedding party booked that weekend.
Bummer, but there are several other properties in the Village, so we chose Tranquilo for our stay this time. Can't wait - it's going to be a great time!
